Tips to avoid getting sick on travel

Updated: Jun 17, 2018

Has this ever happened to you? You leave home for someplace relaxing and wind up too tired to enjoy yourself or are on the hunt to find the nearest CVS. Why does this happen? Why are some of us bright-eyed and ready to take their vacation to the max while some of us want to curl up in bed with the curtains drawn?

Here are some quick solutions to help regain your energy so you can get out and stay out:

1) Do you have allergies? Is your destination city in bloom or extra windy this time of year? Consult your allergist or your local pharmacist for tips on how to stay ahead of mother nature.

2) Getting into town late at night or did you wake up a little earlier than you would have liked? Give yourself time to catch up on sleep. Now you have a legitimate reason to take a nap. (cue angels singing)

3) Checking into a hotel or house rental? Say sayonara to germs and kick those uninvited guests to the curb with a bottle of disinfectant. Spray any areas with which you’ll come in contact.

Hopefully, these few tips will help increase your stamina for a worthwhile and much-deserved vacation.
